Brian Johns - Helping a Veteran

Donation protected

If you are reading this, you have probably heard Brian Johns' story on Instagram or Facebook. We all know  this adventure spirit and skilled photographer. We love him for his talent, encouragement and great captions full of truth and joy.

But there is a human being behind the scenes. A man who (in a turn of events) almost lost his will to live.  PTSD is multifaceted and makes ordinary life much more difficult.

He needs help, or this GoFundMe wouldn't exist. As most of us know, travel photography does not bring in much income. His car is his home. As of right now, his vehicle has been slated for repossession. If he loses this car, he is homeless and he has nowhere to go.

Trauma is hard for a man to navigate.

He’s a fighter. He fights for others, and fights for hope. Even in a time where mental illness is more recognized, we still have so far to go to reach understanding. The trauma he has survived, has resulted in PTSD to the extent that he is unable to hold down a "regular" job.  Most of us cannot understand the severe stress, the depression, and the utter hopelessness that leads to trauma that makes a person unable to live what most of us would call a "normal" life. And yet, Brian deals with this daily.

So I'd like to ask you to help in any way you can today - and remember this will mean the difference between Brian being homeless, and at least having a roof over his head and food to eat.

Brian's goal now, if the funds can be raised, is to be able to pay off the old car that he is living in and be able to eventually purchase an inexpensive van so that he can continue to travel, do Photography and be able to get his Photography business off the ground.

Helping a veteran stay off the streets and helping him so that he can support himself, is a great way to give back to our veterans and our community. He’s an amazing man, mentor and encouragement to all those who know him. He's a world-changer. Partnering with him is believing the world needs authentic people like him, to share their story. Let's support this veteran and photographer, and enable him to live out his full purpose.
