Give Cookie the Chance to Thrive and Play

Nancy Suzy Fish (AKA Cookie) is an 8-month-old rescue puppy. She was found abandoned, very small, malnourished, and riddled with infections. Initially in foster care, she failed to thrive and gain weight or muscle. It was eventually discovered that she has an uncommon condition that prevents her liver from functioning properly. She will need surgery, medication, and a prescription diet for a correction of this condition.
Despite her condition, Cookie is a playful, sweet, and friendly dog. Since adjusting her diet and starting medications, she has begun to enjoy life with newfound energy. She trots, chews bones, wrestles, and gets excited for walks. Before, she had trouble walking, was very lethargic, and had very little strength to even cross the room.
She has been a joy to foster, making friends with our two dogs, snuggling with our kids, and eagerly saying hello to those she meets.
I believe the surgery and medical care can help this puppy live a better life. But it is a big cost for the non-profit rescue. All funds will go directly to Soul Dog Rescue to support the expenses of Cookies' care. Please consider supporting the new life of a sweet puppy.
