Give Corey and Samantha a Chance at a New Home

Does everyone remember the couple experiencing homelessness that was intentionally set on fire 2 weeks ago in NW Oklahoma City? Their names are Corey Jackson and Samantha Richardson. They are amazing, kind-hearted people and some great friends! Corey and Samantha have been together for 2 years now, and even through their trying times, they are very much in love with one another! Despite being without a home at the time of their accident, that didn't change the fact that they are good-hearted human beings who did not deserve what happened to them.

Oklahoma City Police have made an arrest of the cruel, cold-hearted man who, after pouring gasoline on this couple while they slept on a cardboard pallet they made themselves behind a local business, this also unhoused, mentally unstable man intentionally set fire to the now gasoline-soaked couple. As witnesses helped with putting the fires out that have engulfed them both, witnesses describe Corey's screams as him asking if his baby is okay?!? Samantha is still in the hospital fighting for her life in a medically induced coma, she's a fighter and hasn't given up! Corey has been released BUT where to? Back to the streets, now alone, still in pain, still has future skin grafts ahead of him, still struggling with walking, still recovering with burns that still require treatment, not an easy task to keep up with when a stable place isn't an option he has to choose from.

He walks and buses to the ICU burn unit every day to be with Samantha, he talks to her and reassures her that he is going to be right by her side when she's feeling better and can be woken up. These 2 are definitely an inspiration to any struggling relationship out there that even when we don't think our situations could be worse, in the back of our heads we need to remember Corey and Samantha and if they can make it anyone can!! With that being said I would love to see if we can get some help towards getting Corey into at least an extended stay so he can rest and continue to recover himself. A more permanent housing situation would be more beneficial so we can take this time to prepare a HOME for Lord willing Samantha to come home to! They both have very long roads towards recovery in front of them.
