Give Fritz a Chance: Donate for His Healing

Hello everyone, meet Fritz. He is 11 weeks old on Sunday, and on that day, it will have been 3 weeks since he came into our lives. Yesterday, September 6th, was a traumatic day. Fritz is so tiny, and while he was outside playing and following myself and my dad around, my dad, who has “foot drop,” which causes extreme imbalance in him, accidentally stepped backward and stepped on Fritz.

With him being so tiny and just a little puppy, it caused severe injuries, including fractures to his mediastinum, 4 broken ribs, internal bleeding, pneumothorax, bruising of his organs, and his liver levels (ALT), which are supposed to be 125, were 900.

He has had to be on oxygen and has been in the ICU to be stabilized. Between the visit to the emergency vet and being transferred to the ICU and all that has come along with saving his life, the costs are unbearable. I have been out of work for the last 3 weeks due to health issues. I had fainted twice, multiple trips to the hospital, doctor, only to wear a Holter monitor for my heart to rule out POTS, and the process is ongoing for an echocardiogram and vein mapping to check for pulmonary hypertension and venous disease. I still have not returned to work, and I am struggling with bills already. Any help that you can do would be much appreciated. Any help, even with sharing the post, is much appreciated. We have a long road ahead of us, and it’s hard to breathe right now. We just had to save him. Fritz deserved a chance at life like we all do. He is a part of our family; he is the missing piece! He is sweet, cuddly, fun, loving; he is our little heart.
