Give Grayson the Gift of Safe Bike Rides

My name is Danielle, and that handsome fella in the photo in my 10 year old son Grayson. At the age 2 months Grayson was shaken, beaten, and horrifically injured by his biological father. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and numerous other injuries including countless broken bones. At 22 months old Grayson was diagnosed with severe Autism. He is significantly disabled and his development is seriously impaired. He attends 20+ hours of therapy each week, and requires a team of loved ones and professionals to care for him.

All that aside, Grayson is the kindest most loving soul you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. He has a small but loving and intensely committed family, including his hero - his big brother Early. Early loves riding his bike, and I love riding with him.

Sadly, Grayson's disability prevents him from riding a bike on his own, and particularly doing so in a safe manner. He does not understand steering or danger. At 10 years old, he's never been able to participate in a family bike ride.

I understand this is in an expensive item. An option with a high weight limit and a

electric motor is needed. I simply cant peddle my weight and Graysons weight with a my knee thats.....well useless lol. I need some kind of power source. So that is why the high price. With limited options and limited financial resources, I turn to you all for help. For years I have wanted to get Grayson an electric tricycle with a back seat for him to sit in, like a rickshaw - an item far too expensive for me to afford. He does not possess the understanding of safety to drive it alone. But an electric rickshaw would allow Grayson to participate in family bike rides, something he has missed out on.

I know our country and community are all struggling in general financially. All families are struggling to get by. Grayson had so many of his life experiences stolen from him by his abuser. Simply riding a bike with his family was stolen from him. Today, I humbly ask for your help to make this dream come true for Grayson and help us purchase him an electric rickshaw tricycle that he can ride as a passenger with a safe adult driving . It may seem inconsequential to some of you- but in a world as small as Graysons I assure you it means more than you can imagine.
