Give Her A Smile Like She Gives Us

Let me tell you a little bit about Chrissy and the journey to what is coming on February 25th, 2020. Her dream of having a child of her own for her health is coming to an end!!
I will try to make this as short as possible. She has always struggled since she was 13 with her monthly womanly cycle, from bad pains to migraines to so much more. It really all started getting really bad when she was 17 years old. I will never forget the time we thought she had ovarian cancer for 6 months. That sure was a struggle but everyone that knows Chrissy, she pushed through with a smile. Over the last 20 plus years; she has been told she will have babies, then told no babies, then told yes babies, then told no babies. Then told she has had PCOS, cyst on her ovaries, then fibroids, more things I know, and now the big one ENDOMETRIOSIS. Read below to know more about that. I didn’t realize that until she started talking to someone recently, but did you know this girl has been on a grieving rollercoaster since she was 17 years old.
Two years ago, she was suffering from some major back pain and then in the long run found out it is the endometriosis. Did you know that it is like glue and infuses organs together? With Chrissy it was infusing her stomach, ovaries, uterus, and bowels. No telling what all it is now! They couldn’t get it all because it was too close to an artery and didn’t want to take a chance. THIS IS SOMETHING SHE WILL HAVE FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE, and we found out that she has had this since she was 17 years old (she will be 40 in April). On Feb 25th, 2020, she will be having a hysterectomy. This is not going to cure it but we hope that it will help with some of the pain. She is in pain 24/7. Sometimes a scale of 5, sometimes a 10, but always at least a 2.
One of her biggest dream, was to experience the joys of becoming a mom. Growing that belly, having the morning sickness, calling up her husband and saying “Its time” and the smile on his face when he holds their child for the first time. Noone will truly understand what she is or has gone through. Please don’t talk to her about the options.
She has a nephew that she has helped raise since he was 3 months old and acts like she is his mom. 2 wonderful stepchildren that has accepted her in that role and love her in a motherly way. She loves all off them so much like they are all hers. Not to mention many friends’ children that she seems to have adopted. I am also grateful that she has a husband that has been so supportive and has done everything he can to help her through this. He is a wonderful man!
The reason why I have started this up is because even though they have insurance they still have to pay for a GOOD chunk of it. Even though Chrissy knows that she needs to do this to get some pain relief and doesn’t ask for help. She keeps that big, big smile on her face like no one I have ever known. She is looking at this as she is giving the medical doctors money to destroy her dream. It breaks my heart to see her in so much pain and I know that you all haven’t seen it because she doesn’t let it show to anyone . Like her husband says, Once you see those big blue eyes start tearing up it can break a person down.
The goal that I am setting to cover this, future appointments (I think she might have to go to physical therapy) and then do something a little special for her (a few massages for her back or something to do something special for her). Thank you in advance for your help and once she finds out I have done this, I know that she will be so grateful for everything! She has so many people that love her. Let’s give this girl a ray of sunshine like she gives us!!!
