Give Hope to Liané: Fund Her Stem Cell Sessions
Donation protected
My name is Bianca and I am mom to little Liané.

Liané was diagnosed with cancer (Neuroblastoma) at the age of 8 months old. She received her chemo port, did biopsies and was due to start chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, on the day she was supposed to start her chemo, she aspirated and stopped breathing. She was resuscitated and placed onto a ventilator.

Due to the time frame she was without oxygen, she sustained severe brain damage. This caused her to lose her eyesight, ability to stand, sit or walk. She had also lost the ability to communicate or feed by herself. They inserted a Mickey Peg to assist with feeding.

Liané started suffering seizures and was diagnosed with Epilepsy.
Liané completed 3 rounds of intense chemotherapy spending months in the hospital at once. Unfortunately, the chemo stopped working and we were sent home. Liané was receiving monthly chemo drips to delay the growth of the tumor.
In October of 2021, Liané was miraculously in remission.

Unfortunately, the effects of the brain damage still remained the same. She is also currently on 6 different anti-epileptic drugs to control her seizures.

Our last little hope of treatment is stem cell treatment. She has already completed a session and we have already seen a drastic change.

Our goal is to complete 10 sessions.
Unfortunately, in South Africa, this is not covered under our medical aid/insurance and goverment facilities do not offer this.
Each session has a cost of R50 000 (+-$2778) - Inclusive of everything for the session.
We need to raise another R300 000 (+-$16700) to be able to pay for all the remaining sessions.
Her previous session of stem cell treatment has increased her sight activity and the feeling in her legs

Our only wish is for her to be able to see us again one day.
