Give Hope to Will Meader and His Family This Christmas
Donation protected
Our dear friends, Will and Radka Meader, have been through an unimaginable year. Will, a dedicated engineer at the Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, was initially diagnosed with prostate cancer during a routine physical last spring. Following this, he underwent prostate surgery.
Unfortunately, the challenges didn't end there. Just weeks after his first surgery, Will experienced severe dizziness, leading to the discovery of a malignant brain tumor. He bravely faced another surgery last summer to remove the tumor. Despite these efforts, further complications arose when a scan this past fall revealed additional cancer on his ribs, leading to several rounds of chemotherapy.
However, after Thanksgiving, a biopsy revealed that the chemotherapy was not as effective as hoped, with more cancer growths detected. Through all this, Will and Radka have shown incredible resilience and refuse to give up hope. They are now exploring new medical trials, as well as integrating holistic approaches in their battle against cancer.
Will and Radka are not only fighting for Will's health but also managing life with their three young boys, Andrew, David, and Jacob, all under 13. Their oldest, Andrew, has Autism and attends a private school in Massachusetts known for its supportive educational programs tailored to his needs. The younger boys are also attending the school as traditional students so that the boys can be together.
The medical expenses have become overwhelming, adding stress during an already challenging time. We are coming together to help alleviate some of their financial burdens so they can focus on Will's treatment and their family's well-being.
Your donation will directly assist with:
- Covering mounting medical bills
- Supporting ongoing and future treatments
- Helping maintain their children's educational stability, particularly for Andrew's specialized schooling
We're hoping the York community and others that know them will come together for Will, Radka, and their boys, showing them how much we care when they need us most. Every single donation can help, big or small, and even just sharing their story can make a huge difference. What better way to celebrate the holidays than by giving the gift of support and hope to this awesome family?
Together, we can help Will focus on recovery and give the Meader family a chance to manage this battle with one less worry, ensuring they can enjoy the Christmas spirit with peace of mind.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity this holiday season.
Warmly,
Julie & Brett Edminster
