The 501 Sisters is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Leanne Tobin-Dunagan.
Hi - Many of you know our incredible, loving friend, Leanne Tobin-Dunagan from working with her at GoldKey/PHR or Votenza Systems or living in the Virginia Beach area.
In March 2020, our friend Leanne was diagnosed with a genetic disease called Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), which is a rare type of blood cancer. To treat this disease, she currently requires a blood transfusion every 2 weeks, which is not sustainable. Currently there is no cure and her only hope of surviving is a bone marrow transplant. This transplant will give her more years to spend with her family and friends and see her grandchildren grown.
They found a 100% donor match for her and are ready to proceed; however, the cost of this operation is $300,000 per patient making it one of the single most costly health care procedures. Out of pocket cost are around $70,000 so we are asking for your help towards this cost. Anything you can give will help make this happen for her!!!
