Give Libby a place to wash and sleep

Hi, my name is Helen and I’m am raising money for my daughter Libby. 

Libbys was born extremely premature, at onky 25 weeks gestation weighing 1lb 9 Oz we were told the infection was so bad she had very little chance of surviving. Against all odds she proved very expert wrong and that has been her story her entire life.

Libby has a number of conditions including Cerebral palsy, Epilepsy, Global development delay plus more.

Libby is pre verbal meaning she is limited to a few short words or phrases. Up until 4 years ago Libby could walk, run, Jump and climb, her movements were stiff and robotic but she was full of life. Gradually over time she became more unbalanced, her seizures started progressing and now my poor girl who was once full of light and life is now confined to a wheel chair suffering tremors that resemble seizures but are not connected to her epilepsy.

Libby is undergoing constant tests to try and diagnose what the problem is, the nearest the experts have gotten so far is a newly discovered genetic regressive condition that was thought to only be present in adults. Now there are 5 children in the whole world with this condition and Libby could possibly be the 6th.

Libby loves her I pad. Her cheeky and hilarious sense of humour is the light of everyone’s life, she loves anything sensory and can be sneaky beyond belief, she never fails to make you smile on the darkest of days. He life has been a constant health battle with one new challenge after another. Watching your daughter fade away in front of you is the most painful thing I have ever experience and I feel powerless that I cannot help her.

Now due to Libbys condition her needs have increased to needing a wet room and downstairs bedroom and this is why Libby and I along with her brother, Rowan are pleading for your help.

The government have a limited source of funding and being a single mother of not only a poorly child but also a second with additional needs you can imagine life can be tough, but we have to provide a minimum of £35,000 towards the extension Libbys so desperately needs ourselves. The extension will cost between £70,000 and £80,000 but as I have said, they will not pay for it all.

For now all our Libby can have is bed baths and I have no idea what else to do but to appeal to you all out there.

please help me give what this beautiful pure little girl needs. She deserves it and so much more, life never seems to give her a break. She needs this so desperately.

None is us know what the future holds for Libby. We don’t know how long we have her for, it could be 5 years or 50. Please help to make her more comfortable in whatever time she has.
