Be a part of the new wrestling movement in our community!

Support the local wrestling movement today! We are raising $60,000 on behalf of the Herbert Hoover High School wrestling program. For decades, the potential of the Hoover wrestling team has been limited by a severe lack of funding. With your donation, local youth will have the opportunity to build character and open new doors by competing in a high-level wrestling program. Be part of the movement that will install Hoover HS as a wrestling powerhouse and a source of community pride for years to come.

Your donation will:

• Give low-income youth access to high-level training. Hoover HS is classified as a Title I school.

• Expand opportunities for girls and women in the sport of wrestling. We will hire an experienced female coach to grow & support the small but mighty girls’ team.

• Hire a full-time wrestling head coach dedicated to training boys & girls to compete at the highest level for the California season.

• Build out a new wrestling room. This room will be a safe, supportive “third space” for youth in Glendale, where students can grow their skills & confidence.

•Improve students’ college prospects and readiness. Coach Bairos’ former student-athletes have been accepted into Ivy League schools & many collegiate wrestling programs.

• Build a competitive wrestling team the community can take pride in. We will develop local talent in the martial arts hotbed of Glendale.

Our mission: Junkyard Dogs Wrestling Club provides high-level training for student-athletes. We offer wrestling training scholarships, a safe “third space” for youth, and opportunities to excel in education and athleticism beyond our wrestling room.

The Junkyard Dogs Wrestling Club is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
