Give my Mars the Gift of life for his birthday.

UPDATE:

Hello good people, First, I wanted to extend a very huge thank you to everyone who helped in exceeding the first goal to help with the biopsy. After a week and a half of anxiously awaiting results… we got the heartbreaking news that Mars does in fact have cancer. The type of cancer is still inconclusive because of the nature of the tumor, and the way that it is attached to the bone, we weren’t able to get a big enough sample to know the type of cancer definitively. We have been in contact with a surgeon who is a specialist and they have advised that the next step in this process is to amputate his right leg and shoulder blade to prevent the spread of the existing cancer. It will also make him more comfortable for the time being. Once we know what type of cancer it is then we will know what his aftercare looks like. Unfortunately we’re looking at from 2k-4k in expenses. Anything you can do to help, even sharing this post would be such a big help.

He was also able to enjoy a doggie birthday cookie &
cupcake on the 17th for his birthday, it was so special

Thank you so much!

I rescued Mars when he was about 5 months old in one of the darkest times of my life, for the past year he’s been my bestest friend. Literally, from one day to the next, Mars developed a mass on his front right leg that quickly grew. I know it sounds crazy, but even the doctors are stumped. Less than a week before we were running and jumping at the doggy park. Now he can’t even put his full weight on it. I’ve taken him to the vet to get testing done and the initial tests have been inconclusive, but the vet believes it may be an aggressive form of cancer. So far his diagnostic treatment has been $2000+, and the remaining diagnostic tests will cost me nearly another $1000. Once they figure out what it is, he’ll need further treatment & surgery to heal fully… It breaks my heart to see him like this and want to do everything I can to make sure he lives a long, happy life. He’ll be 2 years old on October 17th. He’s just a baby. The best gift I can give him is a chance to live. He’s goofy, sweet and kind to everyone he meets. Any donations to help with his medical bills is deeply appreciated. Anything helps, if 50 people give $20 dollars we’ll reach our goal…
Even just sharing this link helps
Thank you so much.
