Give Peach a Fighting Chance Against FIP
Donation protected
My name is Mari, and I’m seeking support for my rescue cat, Peach, who has unfortunately relapsed from Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). FIP is a severe viral disease that affects a cat's immune system, leading to inflammation in various organs. The disease can manifest in two main forms: the wet form, which causes fluid buildup in the abdomen or chest, and the dry form, which leads to granulomas or masses in organs like the liver and kidneys. Without treatment, FIP progresses rapidly and is almost always fatal.
Currently, Peach is undergoing specialized treatment and tests, but the medication required for FIP, including antivirals like GS-441524, is not widely available in the U.S. and can be extremely costly. The high expenses cover not only the pills but also frequent vet visits and possibly hospitalization. Additionally, because FIP treatments may not be fully covered by insurance, the financial burden is significant.
We are reaching out to friends and family for help in raising funds to afford the necessary care for Peach. Your support is crucial for giving her the best chance at recovery and a better quality of life. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Thank you for considering helping Peach through this challenging time ❤️
