Give Pete a chance to say goodbye to his family

Nanny Kyles & Peter - story featured on Hot Tomato 102.9
In February 2020, Pete was sadly diagnosed with terminal throat cancer. Unfortunately, chemotherapy and radiation were unsuccessful in getting rid of the tumour. While immunotherapy was able to shrink the tumour, there was no way of getting rid of it completely. The doctors gave Pete 1-2 years, and he has now surpassed this time.
In August this year, Pete and his carer Kylie were able to save to fly to England for 3 weeks to visit Pete's family (mother, father, brother's, daughter and 2 granddaughter's) after having not seen his family face-to-face for 16 years. During this time, Pete was extremely unwell and in pain the whole time and was barely able to get out of bed.
Originally the pain was in his mouth, and therefore, we thought it was pain coming from his teeth. However, after a recent appointment back here in Australia, we were advised that Pete now has another large, inoperable growth in the back of his throat.
Unfortunately, Pete is not able to undergo any further chemo, radiation or immunotherapy, and we have been told that there is nothing more that doctors can do.
Following this news, it is our hope that we will be able to raise enough funds to give Pete a chance to say a proper goodbye to his family in England.
Funds raised will go directly to flights for Pete and Kylie (his carer) to England for Pete to say goodbye to his family.
At this stage, with medication, Pete is well enough to travel; however, this won't be the case for much longer which is why we are hoping for assistance to raise funds quickly.
Any support would be so greatly appreciated by Pete and his family and would give many people the opportunity to say their goodbyes before it is too late.
