SecondLife Styles, Vermilion Thread's groundbreaking initiative is our answer. We're turning lightly used hotel apparel, destined for waste, into warmth and hope for those in need.

At Vermilion Threads, we believe in weaving together style and sustainability. "In Nature's Tapestry, Every Thread Counts" is more than just a tagline; it's the core belief that drives everything we do. We're passionate about reducing textile waste, empowering our community here in Coquitlam, and making ethical fashion choices effortless and enjoyable. What is SecondLife Styles?
We're partnering with local hotels to collect gently used apparel and accessories from their lost and founds after the standard holding period. These items, often in excellent condition, would otherwise be discarded.
We then carefully sort, clean, and prepare these garments for their second life. Half of the clothing will be donated to local homeless shelters, providing essential resources to those in need. The remaining items are listed on our Poshmark platform at affordable prices, making sustainable fashion accessible to everyone. We are currently finalizing agreements with hotels and a local shelter.
Why We Need Your Support
Launching this initiative involves costs for transportation, cleaning & sorting, storage, packaging, marketing, and employee wages. We also want to be prepared for any unexpected expenses that may arise. Our estimated monthly costs range from $190 to $590.

Our Funding Goals:
Minimum Goal: $1,500 - This will cover our essential startup costs and allow us to begin collecting and distributing clothing.
Target Goal: $3,000 - This will enable us to expand our operations, partner with more hotels, and reach more people in need.
Stretch Goal: $5,000 - This will allow us to invest in marketing and outreach, raising awareness about sustainable fashion and maximizing our impact on the community.
