Give Rourke a Brighter Future

My name is Ashley Montgomery. I am reaching out today with a heartfelt request for support. Our family is struggling through a very rough time right now & we are humbly asking for your help.

Our youngest son, Rourke, who is 3, has recently been diagnosed as severely autistic. He is the sweetest boy. He's completely nonverbal & we've been informed he will require years of physical, speech, occupational, developmental & ABA therapy. He also has to have constant monitoring & attendance in a specific developmental preschool to help him grow & thrive into a productive member of society. These therapies are not just essential for his development but are crucial for his overall well-being & future. However, the costs associated with these specialized services are completely overwhelming.

As a family, we are doing everything in our power to ensure our son gets the care he needs. But we cannot do it alone. We have good medical insurance & we have applied to receive Social Security for him but it has not yet been approved. Our savings have been completely drained & we're now skating on very thin ice.

My husband is a decorated US Army infantry combat veteran that spent over two years deployed in the Southwest Asian theater during the Global War on Terrorism. His service left him with disabilities that impact his daily life & the chemical residuals of which may have been passed on to Rourke & contributed to his cognitive delays. Despite these challenges, Monty remains a loving husband & father, a career Federal employee, and is determined to provide for our family as best he can.

He is too proud to ask for a handout but I am humbly appealing to your generosity to help us cover the costs of these numerous therapies & the developmental preschool for Rourke.
