Give Sebastian a Chance at Recovery
Donation protected
On July 30th, 2024 my sweet angel Sebastian Saucedo was watching Paw Patrol with my best friends son and I went to the bathroom. I came out and didn’t find him in the home, all the doors were locked and he had gotten out through the doggy door. He ended up falling into the pond and the father of my friends son gave him CPR and they got a pulse back after 30 minutes. He was flown by helicopter from Oceanside, CA to a hospital in San Diego, CA. We have waiting for his MRI results and was told most likely he will be in a vegetative state.
Through research I have done independently of the hospital I have found a world rebound doctor who has worked specifically with these type of brain injuries and done a specific therapy that has helped people recover. Dr Harch of Harch Hyperbarics has not only won awards and saved a lot of nearly fatal drowning accident children’s lives but he has given me hope. The consult is $450 and the treatment itself will be $10,000.
I will not give up on my baby boy. If there is even a glimmer of hope I have to hold on to that. I am asking for this to be shared and for you to give whatever you can because all I want is the opportunity to try.
If the consult does not go the way I hope then the funds would be used for Sebastian’s funeral. Please pray for us and help us give him a fighting chance!
UPDATE August 8, 2024
We have had the consultation with Dr Harch and he believes he is a good candidate for the outpatient hyperbaric oxygen therapy! Sebastian opened his eyes and moved after the doctors in the PICU followed Dr Harch’s suggestion to start a normabaric oxygen treatment while he is still in the hospital. Dr Harch also suggested a transfer to a hospital here in California that offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy in their ICU. We are currently waiting to see they would accept Sebastian if his insurance approved. If they don’t we will need to appeal it or pay 100s of 1000s of dollars out of pocket for his stay at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. We have to give him the best possible care for better outcomes! Now all we do is wait and CONTINUE TO PRAY!
Ive updated the amount to $100,000 but I know it would be more but Ill get an exact amount and update again! Thank you to everyone!
Update 8/15/2024
Sebastian has been moved to Phoenix Children Hospital and they are slowly working to get him off his ventilator. His eyes seem to be dilating normally I think. God is showing us miracles everyday and all your prayers are working, please continue to pray for him! I will be taking him to do hyperbaric oxygen therapy after he goes home and I’m talking to a clinic about potentially getting stem cell therapy as well. Sebastian is not giving up and neither am I!
8/19/2024:
Sebastian's extubation 3 days ago was successful! He has been weened down to just a cannula for now and should be on room air very soon! The normabaric oxygen therapy has been successful inpatient just like Dr Harch said it would! We should be moving from the PICU to the regular floor ASAP and should be going home in "a week or so" they said. We also moved his feeds from his lower intestine up to his stomach and now is being fed full pediasure meals to see if he tolerates it!
Next steps:
When Sebastian is released from the hospital he will be home for one week, after that we will be flying from Phoenix, AZ to Metaerie, LA for his 40 treatments of hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Harch Hyperbarics over a 2 month period. We will be staying in an airbnb for those 2 months and will cost around $6000 total. These will cost $10,000, the flight for me, Sebastian in his carseat, and one other person to help me with him while in Louisiana will be around $6000 total for all three so we can choose our seats and make sure we have to room to care for Sebastian as well.
Once his Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments are complete we will be going back to Arizona for his stem cell implantation therapy which will cost anywhere a $5,000 to $10,000.
After that we will be traveling to Austin, TX from Phoenix, AZ to do a new photoionic light therapy that also helps regenerate brain cells. I will have to do a consultation with them and get back to see how much that will cost.

Sebastian is not talking. He can open his mouth slightly and has been practicing swallowing with ice chips. He kind of reached for a ball and moved it slightly. So he moves with purpose slightly, he’s still working on tracking with his eyes and is working hard with Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy before we go to New Orleans for his hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

10/11/24 Update!
Lots has happened guys! Sebastian had brain surgery and it went well. Unfortunately he was not tolerating any of his feeds and we have been in the hospital for another extended stay! He is now on a new formula which he seems to be tolerating well! But now his neurostorming (which is basically him stuck in fight or flight) has been very bad!
His birthday was 9/26 and it was really difficult being where we are when we planned on Disneyland for his birthday before the accident. It’s hard not to think of what would have been, but I am so blessed to have him in my life regardless of the circumstance! We made the best of that day and even have fun photos to share with you all!
We have also been confirmed to not have the certain things covered including the specialized go seat that I know would improve his quality of life! Please continue to pray and donate if you can to help us get him all he deserves!
