Give, Send or Donate

My dream is to create and share art. Creativity is the conduit to our emotions, it creates experiences. Sadness, joy, relaxation, hope. To this end, it is my mission to send a copy of this photography and haiku book (Virtual Vacation) to every hospital, nursing home and facility that helps families in times of stress and trouble. I created this book as a gift for friends, but in this time of COVID, I wanted to provide a outlet, a getaway, for those who are homebound, in a facility, or anyone who just needs a little virtual vacation. I'd like to see it in waiting rooms and patient areas, facilities that house families and would love ideas from you of other places to donate it. While I originally intended this for patients, I've recently come to realize that the medical staff and EMS workers need a respite every bit as much as we do. My name is Mary Sullivan and I hope you will join me in fulfilling this mission.

 

While the book can be purchased on Amazon, by donating here, you can decide if you want to contribute the amount of a full book or a set dollar amount. For every $40 donated on this site, another book will be sent out to a facility. The dollar figure for this fundraiser is the amount needed to include every facility listed above in the US. Through direct donations by friends, I've already donated copies of the book to the Institute for Human Services women's shelter and medical facilities. Others have purchased the book and made the donation themselves. I've always found solace in photography, and have written haiku to match the image and bring it to life. It will mean so much to me to be able to share it with others. Please share with others and help me reach this goal. I'll be updating this site and sharing our success.
