Give Thanks for Mountain School!

The last couple of years were unlike any other in Mountain School’s history. Mountain School rose to the challenge of the pandemic with innovative changes & other special offerings to allow our community to remain present & connected. As we continue to bounce back, we face new challenges as a school and a community: lower enrollment and infrastructure improvements.

Over the past 66 years, Mountain School has welcomed generations of preschool families to learn by play and observation in nature. We cherish memories of fun and friendships made under beautiful trees, alongside local creeks, and in the magical Schoolhouse play yard. Who can forget splashes in mud puddles, hugs with chickens, songs with teachers, and singing "thank you" to the cooking parent?

Generosity is what drives us, and today that generosity will support our efforts to address the greatest needs at the school. If desired, your gift can be directed to any of the programs or initiatives below that inspire you. Including creating a water feature for the Little Red Schoolhouse that allows for drought friendly water play, replacing old storage sheds, rebuilding the sandbox and building a new play structure area.
