Give the Gift of Life in Memory of Turhan Yildirim
Turhan Yildirim passed away Nov 27th, 2020 at the age of 72 (god rest his soul).
He lived a full and happy life alongside his wife Aliye and two sons Sahin and Metin. He sacrificed and provided for his family by always putting their needs in front of his own. He was a very generous and kind man who always went out of the way to help others.
He had a great respect for all life. So much so that it took him weeks to find out how to chase a hive of bees out of his yard instead of simply using pesticides. We're sure the mouse that snuck into his shed is still there because he refused to put down traps. His response as to why when asked, "Its getting colder out. The mouse is just looking to stay warm".
Turhan was an engineer, creator, fixer, handyman, car mechanic, carpenter, and anything else that involved using your hands. He loved to use his skills to help a cousin or neighbor with things like a broken car alternator or a leaky kitchen sink. Above all else, he was a learner and student. Even with all his knowledge, he still strived to learn new things everyday. Just last year, he happily taught himself how to write computer code.
The Yildirim family would like to continue Turhan's tradition of helping others by giving the gift of water to those in need. In his memory, we will be raising funds to help build a well (or wells) in Africa where water is either very scarce or dirty.
