Give the gift of more time for Hunnybun

Hello everyone! My name is Hannah and I am a 27-year-old Paramedic student. If you know anything about me, you know I have a beloved best friend. A poodle named Hunnybun (Goose).

Hunnybun and I met when I was 9 and she was 6 weeks and we have been inseparable for almost 18 years. When I was young, I begged and begged for a dog and finally one day my mom and grandparents surprised me with Hunnybun. At the time, I was a competitive gymnast and had no time for friends and having Hunnybun changed my whole world. I found happiness!

Fast forward many years later and Hunnybun is still my whole world. Anywhere I go, she comes with me. Work, school and she even sleeps in my arms every night.

What a rewarding experience to have been a young girl and have her take care of me and now she's geriatric and I get to return that favour. How time flies!

In recent days, my sweet 17-year-old girl has gained a huge mass on her lip which could potentially be cancer. It's become so big that it needs to come out or it will kill her. I know what you're thinking, she's almost 18, she's lived an extraordinary life! This is true, but my girl is eating, drinking and still happy! She is not ready to give up on me so I won't give up on her.

Hunnybun has been accepted to a specialist with an anesthesiologist in Montana who graciously will take on her case because they believe age is not the disease.

Permitted the surgery goes well, we could have a few months to even a year longer together.

We would love your help to make this possible! All the money raised will go towards her surgery, medications, travel expenses and worse case, euthanasia and private cremation.

Any extra will be given to the animal hospital that has been there for Hunnybun so someone else can also have a beautiful life with their pet and not have to worry about costs in a time of need!
