Giving Back To Coach Eddy Who Gave To So Many
Donation protected
As the Connecticut Hockey Community is now aware, we lost a really good man and hockey coach and mentor this past Friday evening. Eddy Lemaire loved the game of hockey, excelling at it as a youth player from East Haven, reaching levels only a select few will ever achieve, including being invited to the U.S. Olympic tryout, and playing professionally in France.
What really became Eddy’s passion was creating the same excitement he drew from the game in the next generation of players, both at the youth and high school level. He made a tremendous impact on literally thousands of players, from their first touch of the ice, to their last taste of competitive hockey. People were drawn to his deep caring for the well-being of the players, driving the balanced message of skills, fun and comradery.
Being a dedicated life-long hockey coach, he prioritized the youths well-being over his own, as youth hockey is a labor of love that doesn’t afford the level of financial reward that it, and Coach Eddy especially, deserved.
I’d like nothing more to send a message of love and support to Eddy and his Mom by easing the burden of the cost of the memorial service and funeral expenses.
He touched so many lives, and will be dearly missed. His smile, his passion, his humor. He will be forever in our hearts.
