Giving back to forgotten Tigrayans in Sudan
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Mulubrhan Kidanu, and I am a young Tigrayan woman living in the diaspora. I am raising money to travel to Sudan to help displaced Tegarus in Umrakuba and Tenedba refugee camps. They have fled a state-sponsored Genocide. 2 million have been internally displaced, and thousands have fled to neighboring countries to seek refuge.
I am part of a US-based nonprofit team called Restore the Motherland. Its main aim is to uplift the African continent and African people by making sure the youth have access to quality education. The primary mission of this trip is to distribute critical learning supplies to elementary and middle school students in grades 6-8 and to access other urgent needs.
The secondary mission is to share my knowledge and passion for martial arts with the youth in the Umrakuba refugee camp. I plan to hold self-defense classes pulling from my experience as a martial artist, wrestler and boxer. I believe that self-defense is a critical skill to empower youth who have lost everything.
