Giving Back to Greg & Penny Booth
Donation protected
Greg & Penny Booth, owners of Good Going Pet Resort, are some of the best people you will ever come to meet...
They are the warm snuggle and kind heart to the lost and needy, whether it be people or four-legged friends. They give of themselves to everyone else and never ask for anything in return. The abandoned and abused seem to find the comfort they're seeking from Greg and Penny. They are the champions for the less fortunate.
Now, after rescuing everyone else all their lives, they need a little rescuing themselves. Greg has been in a wheelchair for the last 40 years, which has never slowed him down or stopped him, but does bring on some difficult challenges. One of the most pervasive of challenges is the inconvenient and, often painful, medical issues.
Greg has had numerous broken bones, infections, and falls, but recently these issues have all occurred in a short timeframe. Greg had a terrible fall out of his wheelchair in late August, which was debilitating for him. After being in excruciating pain and numerous tests, it was revealed that he had significant issues with his kidneys and bladder. This resulted in an inpatient hospital stay that lasted almost two weeks. That hospital stay has also contributed to a significant bedsore, that has limited Greg to not being able to go anywhere in the car or assist around the kennel. Greg also has other significant wounds on his lower extremities that require daily nursing care.
All of these unexpected medical issues have taken their toll on Greg and Penny Booth, as well as Good Going Pet Resort as a thriving business. The expenses of the medical emergencies and continued medical care, as well as Greg's inability to assist with work around the business and house have significantly impacted the Booth Family and Good Going Pet Resort.
It is my hope, as their daughter, that they have impacted so many lives and inspired so many others by their love, dedication, and compassion, that people will be energized to help them. Any help to ease their financial strain would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for helping the ones who so readily help everyone else. XOXO
