Our names are Allison and Robert VanNote, III and we would like to start off by introducing ourselves and our goal is in creating this account..
Bobby VanNote, Jr, 63 of Bloomington, suddenly passed away on September 22, 2023. This GoFundMe has been created with the sole intention of paying the remaining balance due to the funeral home following the cremation of Bobby. All funds raised will be handled by Robert (son) and Allison (daughter-in-law) and will go directly to the funeral home. The following link is his obituary.
With Robert being the sole son of Bobby, we(Rob and Allison) have been put in charge of all after life affairs. We have already ensured all of his bills were paid off and affairs handled, as Bobby would have wanted it. After handling those we were left with very little to work with and a long battle with life insurance ultimately not wanting to pay out leaving us with 1 bill still remaining.. his cremation.
This has been an extremely difficult time and to make things worse, shortly after the passing of his father, Robert lost his job. He has since regained employment and we have been working diligently to handle this matter ourselves however it has not been easy to do so with 3 children and an elderly dependent in our home, as well as every day bills and expenses and ZERO help from his life insurance company. We are reaching out to an attorney regarding the life insurance policy but this can take a while and in the meantime the funeral home still needs paid.
Bobby was preparing to go in for surgery when he suddenly passed before even making it to the OR. Bobby was a hard-working man who dedicated 20 years of his life to his job working for Pilot Travel Centers. At the time of his passing he was out on disability due to a work related injury which seems to be a main component in why life insurance is fighting to pay out.
Normally we wouldn't ask for any help but with hard times getting harder we have been left no other option than to try.
