**May 21st 2024 UPDATE: We will be engaging your generously donated funds with the following projects:

1 tube well (water pump) in Southern Punjab region of Pakistan
1 Dig-a-Well in Southern Punjab region of Pakistan
2 Dig-a-Wells in the Koulikoro Region of Mali in West Africa
All remaining funds will be used to plant fruit trees as a long-term sadaqah jariyah project which will provide an income source for the beneficiaries, and will be planted in either Pakistan or in Mali.

Hello and Salaam,

This fundraiser is in tribute to our beloved friend Shihab Chaudhury, whose life came to an end at an early age. Shihab was full of kindness, energy, and a charitable spirit towards everyone who knew him.

We have chosen to raise funds for a cause that is known as sadaqah jariyah in Islam. Sadaqah Jariyah is charity that continues to benefit people long-term and continues to earn the giver rewards on their account with God, even after death.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The best charity is giving water to drink.”

This fundraiser is directly linked to the Muslim Hands USA foundation. Our goal is to collectively raise enough funds to build 5 water pumps in impoverished communities across the globe, where access to clean water remains a distant dream for millions of people.

We hope and pray that God accepts this action on behalf of Shihab as a charity from him, and enters him into eternal paradise with the righteous and pure-hearted.
