Help Damien recover from traumatic injury

Hi, my name is Tom Lane and my focus is on 19-year-old Damien Merchant. Damien is the very definition of a North Country teenager - hard-working, respectful, resilient and humble. This young man has experienced a very-difficult childhood but he has dreams and very definite ambitions on where he would like to take his life and career. He lost his mom to cancer at the age of 10 when she was only 32. His father was not a consistent presence in his life, and Damien has been raised by his grandmother. Recently, a tragic and life-threatening accident put a pause on his ambitions when he accidentally stepped into the whirling blade of a stump grinder and had his left leg torn apart. In the face of gut-wrenching fear, extreme pain and concern about his future, he exhibited such bravery and control as we awaited the arrival of first responders. Damien now faces many medical procedures and a long, arduous recovery from the devastating injury. We are hoping to raise enough money to cover this young man's medical bills and living expenses.
