Giving Jennah Her Smile Back

Donation protected
Hey, my name's Adam. You might know me as Kuma. I've been involved with all sorts of communities over the years, from Table top gaming to Chiptune, MAGFest to Magic the Gathering, and I've had the good fortune fo being able to be a part of some amazing events in my life, and to meet some truly spectacular people. While I normally reach out to others to revel in the wonders life had to offer, I do so today to beseech you for help.

This help is not for myself, but it is for someone I love dearly: my little sister, Jennah. My sister has always been a source of strength, light, and love in my life. She has been a lifelong friend that has shared countless glories and heartaches with me. She has perservered in the face of adversity when I have cowered away. She has smiled and given life the middle finger when it has told her she cant do something. Jennah is everything I wish I could've been, and more, and no matter how hard life pushed, Jennah always was able to push back harder. She's kind of amazing like that. Recently, however, life has thrown a wrench at my sister's knee that had completely derailed her.

On August 7th of this year, my sister and her partner, Brett, were involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident. While Brett has been able to recover to the point where he has been able to return to work, the same has not been true for Jennah.

Rib fractures, pelvic fractures, cocyx, shoulder and spinal injuries. These injuries have left my sister scarred and nearly paralyzed her from the waist down. They also do nothing to speak of the psychological trauma my sister has incurred from the accident. Cars terrify her. The revving of engines sends her into panic attacks. She constantly wakes sobbing from nightmares in which she feels she is about to die over and over again. To say this accident has robbed my sister of the passion and vivavcity she once exuded woule be a paltry understatement. My sister is an emotionally scarred, frightened, trembling shadow of her former self, and it breaks my heart hearing and seeing her sob even over the phone.

Due to the severity of the injuries incurred, Jennah is in a very tight financial spot. While those of us close to her have been providing help in various ways, financially, it is not enough to help keep my sister afloat while matters of insurance, compensation, and disability are atbitrated and in process. This is especially pressing as my sister was not just caring for herself, but was also the primary care taker for my father, Ernest, whose mental health has declined rapidly since contracting COVID in 2020, the effects of which have been comparable to a stroke that have effected his short term memory.

I am asking for assistance on behalf of my sister to help keep things going for her. Keep food in her stomach. A roof over the heads of both her and my father. A respit from the financial woes my sister is facing until something comes of the litigation my sister's attorney is pursuinh on her behalf.

Any and all help you can provide is deeply and sincerely appreciated. Jennah is a hero to me, in more ways than she may ever know. I dont want my hero to succumb to this trauma life has inflicted upon her. I want to give Jennah hope for the future and faith that things can get better. I want, more than anything else, to give my hero her smile back. Please, help make my dream come true.

Sincerest regards,

Adam
