Giving Tuesday for Acorn (and so many others!)
Tax deductible
This "Giving Tuesday" your donation can change the life of a homeless animal, one just like Acorn. Little Acorn came into our care on Thanksgiving eve after an emergency plea from our rescue partner on the Crow Reservation. He was hit by a car several days earlier and his caretaker did not have the means to provide for him and wanted to offer a better life for him so she surrendered him. After a visit to an emergency veterinarian for x-rays, it was evident that either an expensive surgery or amputation would be necessary but we agreed to take on the case as this puppy had nowhere else to turn. As an open-door shelter it is core to our principles that we accept every pet in need and we couldn't do that without generous donations!
We arranged to have Acorn's amputation with Dr. McCormick at Sleeping Giant Animal Clinic and he's recovering so well. His foster mom Katie is going to look after him for a couple weeks to help him recoup and then this tough little nut will be ready to find his forever home! (email us if you'd like to apply!)
As the only nonprofit animal care facility in Park County we serve over 1,000 animals in our shelter annually and provide services to the pets and people in our community providing safe haven to the lost, abused and abandoned. Every animal in our care is provided veterinary care, vaccinated, spay or neutered & microchipped before they are adopted out. For the community we provide a free pet food bank, veterinary assistance fund, senior assistance fund, waived adoption fee programs, free behavior consulting, emergency boarding and much more.
None of this would be possible without the support & generosity of our staff, adopters, volunteers and donors. So on this international day of giving, please donate what you can in honor of Acorn, or the 100s of others just like him. They need you. Or donate in honor of the rescue animal you have curled up by your side right now, someone's donation helped them find their way to you. $5, $50 or $500 - every dollar will go directly to the care of the animals in our shelter.
Please come in and see the great work you're funding!
We are grateful for you all,
