In 2018, my dad went in and out of the hospital nine times in four months. During my regular visits with him, I noticed many patients in the hospital with no one visiting them. There was no one to sit by their side and encourage them through their recovery in the hospital. As much as doctors and nurses may want to help with their emotional needs, they are just too busy healing their physical bodies. The excitement on my dad’s face pictured above when a visitor he didn’t know well sat to chat with him filled me with joy.
This experience gave me the idea to create an organization that helps seniors and patients through their recovery in the hospital. We can also help them find a place to live should they need an independent retirement community, assisted living, or memory care community, along with a grief workshop for families needing support.
The money we raise will go towards Technology, Marketing, Website, R&D, and building a community of people willing to help Seniors and Patients recovering in the hospital. Any donation size helps; the more we raise, the faster we can help those in need.
