Hi guys,
I'm reaching out to you all on behalf of Brian Kuenning. He is a sweet, wonderful man who will always make time for his friends. I have known him and been close to him for years. If you know him, you most likely know him through pool. He is amazing at pool! Or at least he was. Unfortunately, even I could beat him on the table now...

About 2 weeks ago Brian noticed his stomach was sore, as if he had done a whole lot of sit ups. A day after that he started to get double vision and his right eyelid started drooping. Two days later and we were in the ER with no clue as to why he was so fatigued, his muscles so weak. It took another few days for the tentative diagnosis - myasthenia gravis, and it was only confirmed yesterday. In addition to this he has a thymoma - a mass inside his chest about 7 cm long.

They released him from the hospital and he is dealing with this frightening, rare disease on his own.
Right now he is constantly fatigued, cannot see without an eyepatch (the muscles of his right eye are so weakened that he can't focus them both in the same direction), and when he gets tired at the end of the day can have problems swallowing and even breathing.
He is on medication that controls some of the fatigue but does little for his other symptoms. Right now we are focusing on getting the thymoma removed, which is why we are reaching out for help. His doctors want to put him back in the hospital as soon as possible to stabilize his symptoms, which may take up to a week, and from there remove the growth. He will still most likely need to keep taking medication, and recovery could take a long time. He is a fighter though...

We definitely need financial assistance, but also need some moral support. Even if you can't donate, please reach out to Brian and let him know you are thinking of him. It would mean so much.
