2nd Annual TRUE Fit Bicycle Tour
Donation protected
** The ride has been completed so donations at this time are not necessary, unless you want to contribute to the TRUE Fit initative of providing educational services through clinics to young people that we conduct year round **
My name is Tommy Schneider, and I am the President of TRUE Fit (The Resourceful Use of Exercise).
The objective of TRUE Fit is to create an accessible form of health and fitness for people and to establish a healthier culture in the United States.
Over the years concerns have developed from increased rates of heart disease, diabetes (and prediabetes), and obesity. The American lifestyle has become more sedentary than ever. A void exists in this country when it comes to providing our citizens access to physical activity and exercise, and the education and understanding of how to live a healthier lifestyle. Health clubs, and personal trainers are ubiquitous but many people cannot afford to attain those services and often feel helpless, or unaware of what they can do to live a healthy lifestyle.
The mission of this bike ride is to bring TRUE Fit to different parts of the country from one coast to the other. We will fill the aforementioned void by introducing youth to the understanding of how to live a healthy lifestyle with practical means and not having to rely on an expenisve gym membership, or the guidance of a costly personal trainer.
Last year was the first TRUE Fit Bicycle Tour that went from Chicago to Boston. It included stops at 6 different cities and was able to reach over 400 kids with the hopes of inspiring them to set the tone for a healthier culture in their own communities.
This year we're going to be even more ambitious with the hopes of covering more miles, spending more time, stopping at more cities, to reach more kids. Your contribution will go a long way in covering the expenses for the 33-day trip that entails myself putting the bicycle wheels on the ground, and my brother manning the RV, that will also provide us with lodging each night.
TRUE Fit is a 501(c)3 so your contribution is tax deductible.
The ride will happen with whatever amount is raised. But any amount is helpful to cover the expenses of the trip and spreading the word about our mission will be even more appreciated.
Thank you for your time and help, now go give yourself 10 vertical jumps, a 30 second plank hold, 5 glute bridges with a 5 second hold, and 12 push ups and repeat that 3 times.
