Travel expenses

My name is Leslie and I am raising funds to help cover travel expenses for my parents. After many months of trying to get help from doctors locally, my Stepfather, Ken Robertson, was diagnosed with Lung Cancer on October 3rd, 2023. After 2 trips to Redding for some tests it was finally diagnosed as Aggressive Small Cell Carcinoma. It is severe enough that today when he had his consultation appointment with Stanford to discuss treatment they told him to get in the car and drive there ASAP to start chemo in the morning. We definitely weren’t expecting or ready for that. They will be traveling from Eureka to Stanford (approx 650 miles round trip) every 2 weeks for 3 day rounds of chemo. I am hoping to help alleviate some of the financial stress while they cope with Ken's diagnosis and begin treatment. She will need to pay for a hotel, food and gas for each trip. It adds up fast.
