Hope for Hope

Donation protected
After breakfast on May 5th, Hope left the house and someone shot her.

She somehow limped home and Kate and Tanner rushed her to the emergency vet. Her back leg was completely shattered by BB gun or pellet gun bullets. After consultations (amputation vs surgery), they decided to go forward with surgery to save the leg, despite the huge cost, and the fact that they just bought their first home last week. Hope- the active, adventurous, energetic cat- just wouldn't be happy without full mobility. Update: Because there is so much damage to the leg, the cost of the surgery and other medical care is now roughly $5,100 as of Friday, May 8th. It's a huge blow for their family financially.

With a little help, we could make the burden a little lighter.

The Parkinsons' government job requires them to move all over the world: Nigeria, Virginia, and soon, Australia. But the one constant is their cat Hope. She's been with them every step. She is the most playful, comforting, dog-like cat, and a member of the family. Kate never questioned that she should do this for Hope.

If you live in the neighborhood and have any information about who  shot Hope, please call or text Kate.
