Gladwyne Vets Rebuilding Fund
Donation protected
I am Joe Renner, a Marine combat veteran, Commander of Gladwyne VFW Post 6956, and member of the Gladwyne Vets at 320 River Road, Gladwyne, Pa.
As a result of the remnants of Hurricane Ida on September 2, 2021, Gladwyne Vets social club and hall were underwater up to the ceiling. The interior of the building was a total loss, and there was damage to the property. We were unable to secure relief from FEMA or the SBA. We DID NOT QUIT.
We fundraised and have done as much work as possible utilizing veteran and social members. The community generously helped as well. We have made significant progress, but we are far from complete. The social club and restrooms will soon be ready to reopen. The meeting hall, the kitchen, and the bathrooms are still unfinished.
The Gladwyne Vets is where the Veterans of Foreign War Post 6956 operate from. It is where deceased veterans from the community are memorialized. It is a community meeting place and has hosted many community, family, and veteran events.
As a combat veteran and the present Commander of the Gladwyne VFW, I humbly ask you to help the Gladwyne Vets continue to serve veterans and the community by donating to help continue the rebuild.
Sincerely,
Joe Renner
