Gladymir Philippe

On Friday, August 18th, 2023 the beloved Gladymir “Glad” Philippe passed away at the mere age of 31. Glad was a dear friend, son, brother, and passionate member of his local Utah community. He leaves behind a tender spot in the hearts of many, especially the Haitian/Immigrant community he fearlessly broke barriers for. Glad dedicated his adult life to the tech sector, specifically setting up start-up companies; He personally co-founded Stealtix and Kado, Inc.

In addition, Glad was devoted to helping minorities bridge the gap between entrepreneurship and venture capital. He also occupied board seats for a few local mentorship programs to serve those that will come after him. We are all devastated by Gladymir’s loss and want to aid his family in planning a memorable service for the light that he was and will continue to be in the lives he has touched.

A viewing will be held at 10:00am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley (1007 S Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, UT 84095) Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:00am. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00am. Internment will be at Elysian Gardens at 2:00pm; 1075 E 4580 S, Millcreek, UT 84117. A luncheon will be held in his honor at the home of Tiffany George immediately following internment. **The family has kindly requested black and/or white attire at the funeral services.

I, (with the permission of his mother, Gladys Etienne), and the support of the Utah Black Chamber, am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of services for this brilliant young man.
