Glasgow Times Toy Appeal 2024

Donation protected
Spreading a little joy this Christmas with the Glasgow Times 2024 Toy Bank Appeal.

In association with Arnold Clark, Allied Vehicles, Spar, Stagecoach, Step Change Scotland Debt Charity, Smyths Toys, Storage Vault and The Wise Group.

The Glasgow Times has launched its sixth Bank on Us campaign, helping to save Christmas for families across the city. As household bills continue to skyrocket due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and recent statistics revealing that 1 in 5 Scots are currently living in poverty*, now is the time to act.

We’re calling on our readers, local schools, nurseries and businesses to get involved and help those in need with our annual Bank on Us Toy Appeal.

Festive Food Appeal
Helping to ease the burden
Our festive foodbank appeals over the years have successfully ensured the city's foodbanks are well stocked through December, when families are likely to experience increased financial pressures due to rising heating bills. The food appeal continues this year with a paper bag inserted into the Glasgow Times at the end of November; asking all to please fill the bag and take to their nearest foodbank.

Bank on Us Toy Appeal
Making Christmas magical for families in need
As the festive season approaches, toy banks across the country are gearing up for an influx of families hoping to bring joy to their little ones this Christmas. Each year, hundreds of Scots are referred to these fantastic charities. As the cost-of-living crisis is expected to hit people hard this year, it's more important than ever to help those in need.

Last year’s toybank appeal raised almost £15,000, ensuring thousands of gifts were delivered to the most vulnerable children in and around Glasgow. This year, we're running the campaign again aiming to help as many families as we possibly can and spread a little joy this Christmas.

The proceeds raised in this campaign will be used to purchase brand new toys for distribution to charities around the city.

Together, we can make a difference.
