Gledhow Primary School - World Book Day 2024

To celebrate and encourage a love of reading at home and in school, we will be running a sponsored read between Monday 4th - Friday 8th March 2024. This is also the week which we will be celebrating World Book Day.

We are keen to continue to extend the range of these books which we provide for our children and so all the money raised will go towards our school library. Please continue to help us to enhance our reading resources for our children by encouraging your child to spend an amount of time each day either reading to themselves, to others, or being read to. They can read books, comics, magazines, newspapers, menus, websites, recipes, poems, leaflets, instructions – anything with words!

Please sponsor your child as much or as little as you are able to and encourage friends and family to support as well.

After the sponsored read, please send all the sponsorship money that your child has raised to the GoFundMe page. The money needs to be handed in no later than Friday 15th March 2024.

We look forward to giving the children the chance to continue to practise the essential skill of reading at home and we thank you for your on-going support with this.
