Glen Ellyn Lakers Coach Alberto’s Medical Fund
Donation protected
Dear Families,
Very recently, Coach Alberto Perez from the Glen Ellyn Lakers and Midwest FC travel soccer programs was diagnosed with an unidentified mass in his brain which unfortunately won’t allow him to continue his coaching responsibilities for the upcoming season.
Coach Alberto has been an instrumental instructor for over 20 years and brings tremendous value, experience and leadership to our players and families. Coach Alberto has been an integral part of not only travel soccer in our community, but all soccer programs at the Glen Ellyn Park District over the years. He has coached Lakers, Midwest FC, House Soccer and many camps and clinics throughout the years and our kids love him dearly.
Despite this tragic news, Coach Alberto is in good spirits and has been feeling okay the last few weeks, but has a lengthy and expensive process of discovery of the root causes and mitigations or treatments. Coach Alberto is not only a great coach and mentor but a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and role model.
While Coach Alberto has a challenging road ahead, he and his family will need our support now more than ever as they work through this difficult time, and we would like to invite you to support him and his family on this journey.
If you or anyone you know would like to help contribute to Coach Alberto’s medical fund, please consider making a donation. Even a little will go a long way as this process will be trying financially, mentally, and physically for Coach Alberto, his wife Mariana and their family.
Thank you for your consideration.
