Help Glen Springs Robotics go to Worlds!

Donation protected
The Glen Springs Elementary Robotics Club is celebrating an extremely successful season with TWO teams qualifying for the VEX Robotics World Championship 2023 hosted in Dallas from May 2-4!!!

The kids built the robots themselves to compete in a game called Slapshot. (The game manual is 66 pages long - it’s pretty intense!) We couldn’t be more proud or excited for these kids and their dedicated coaches, who have worked SO hard this year to get to this point. Sending ANY team of 5th graders compete at an international competition is a HUGE accomplishment and a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Sending two is pretty AMAZING! Glen Springs is only one of two elementary schools to represent Gainesville, FL at Worlds this year!

These surprise qualifications do come with some unexpected expenses. Unfortunately, our coaches were notified of our Worlds qualifications last week during our spring break and team registration fees are due by March 31st, leaving very little time to fundraise. Any contribution is appreciated!

Donations will be used toward VEX World Championship Registration fees, travel and lodging expenses for the Glen Springs competitors and coaches, food expenses for the duration of the event, and gas expenses for our coaches, who are driving the robots and equipment from Gainesville to Dallas.  (Any remaining funds will be used for equipment for next year’s teams!)

Thank you so much! Go Tigers!!!
