Glen Waverley Hawks Cricket Club Fire Recovery

Glen Waverley Hawks Cricket Club has been significantly impacted by a deliberately lit fire at its clubrooms at Capital Reserve in Glen Waverley on April 16 2025. While the structure is Monash Council property a lot of the contents was the property of GWHCC. This includes, honour boards in the social rooms which have been destroyed, bar, fridges, TVs, audio visual and scoreboard equipment as well as cricketing equipment for both senior and junior cricket. Unfortunately some memorabilia will be irreplaceable, however we may be able to reproduce some with reprinted photos etc. We are hoping that we can replace some of these items with generous donations from the community.

GWHCC is a community cricket club based out of Capital Reserve in Glen Waverley that is the home to three senior cricket teams and two senior T20 team in the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association. GWHCC also has 9 junior teams across three associations (BHRDCA, RDCA & ISEC) including a girls team for te first time in 2024/25.
