Glenda Bentley Memorial Fund

Dear Friends and Family,

We are asking for donations in memory of Glenda Bentley . On the morning of June 14th, she lost her battle with cancer. We are fundraising to help her family pay for any funeral/service expenses, any lingering medical bills, funds to continue caring for her pets, and just generally take care of her grieving family.

Glenda was loved and will be missed by so many people. She was a devoted mother to three children and a doting Nonni to four wonderful grandchildren. She was a caring and uplifting friend and co-worker. Glenda was so many wonderful things to so many people it is hard to describe just how amazing she was. We will miss her so very much.

She was a proud dog mom and dog grandma too. This is her sweet baby Bella, who is already missing her!

Glenda loved her family deeply. A long standing tradition in her home was Sunday lunch. She prepared epic themed spreads for her children and their families. They gathered around her table and spent precious moments together. She was the cornerstone of their strong connection as a family and she was dearly loved.

During school closures Ms. Glenda would set up her sewing station and work on cloth face masks all day.

Glenda was one of the most selfless people any of us had ever met. Whether she was volunteering to alter prom dresses, bridesmaid's dresses, and dance costumes, or making masks, she was always busy helping those around her. During the Covid pandemic and quarantine, Glenda spent her time handmaking cloth masks for her family, friends, co workers, and the community. Over the last year and half, she made and donated over 2,000 masks.

The last three years or so, Glenda worked as the front desk receptionist at Head Start. Glenda was the face that greeted children and families as they walked in the building. She was also the person teachers and staff had the joy of chatting with on our breaks. Glenda was such a positive influence on our school family's atmosphere. Her presence in the middle of our center was extremely fitting, because in so many ways she was our school's heart. She made Head Start feel like a family and everyone that encountered Glenda, got a bonus grandma!
