Gleneagles Caddie Relief Fund
Donation protected
On Monday 23rd March, The Gleneagles Hotel and Resort closed its gates until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic and corresponding Government Guidelines. In the meantime, the golf courses have received the ultimate weather conditions to be in impeccable order for everyone’s return. Unfortunately, the conditions for the self-employed Gleneagles Caddie Team are not so productive. With no sign of play and our crucial travel links to our visiting friends around the world halted, the Caddies’ 2020 season at Gleneagles is set to be critically impacted.
Given the unique environment that the caddies ply their trade, there is growing unease for the financial adversity many are facing. The season here is short and the caddies rely on an unprecedented work ethic in this short period, to ensure they have the funds to get them through the entire calendar year. An overwhelming number of people have asked how they can help and through their determination, there is hope that the caddie team and their families’ uneasiness be reduced during the course closures and ongoing social-distancing limitations.
It is difficult to define a financial goal for this campaign, due to the number of individuals and families that will be assisted by your generosity. We are hoping this drive be well supported and provide each caddie with sufficient backing to help them through this period. Any and all help will be appreciated immensely.
Our Ambition: Each person with a memorable caddie experience at The Gleneagles Hotel and Resort, have an opportunity to show their appreciation to the Caddie Team through this Relief Fund.
Steven Kinnaird has been involved in Caddie Operations at Gleneagles for the past five years. Steven as an individual has volunteered to operate this account on behalf of the self-employed caddie team that stride the fairways of ‘The Glen’. Feel free to get in touch; Steven looks forward to hearing from you.
100% of all funds raised will be distributed to the Gleneagles Caddies.
