Glen Westerbur‘s dental relief fund

Hi, my name is Ethan and I'm fundraising for Glen Westerbur. I have known Glen for about a year, he is a member of my men's group in Longview Washington. His story has inspired me to help him rebuild his life. The following message is from Glen:

Dear friends, family and kind-hearted individuals,

I hope this finds you well and in good spirits. My name is Glen Westerbur, and today I come to you with a humble request for your support. I am dealing with a rough battle with multiple sclerosis or as commonly known MS that has made me unable to work and has taken a toll on my overall health.

Over the last decade or so, I have dealt with numerous health issues that have affected my life. Unfortunately, one of the most troubling is the deterioration of my oral health. When I was a quadriplegic, having others try to take care of my oral health, led me to have an aversion to doing it myself (I am not trying to place blame on those who lovingly help me during that part of my life).

I deal with constant pain and discomfort that negatively impact parts of my life, such as eating and speaking. After contacting the dentist and my doctor, it has become clear. I need to undergo quite a bit of dental work to fix the problem, relieve the pain and improve my quality of life. The recommended treatment plan from Aspen Dental includes the removal of all my top teeth, a full upper denture, and a lower partial. The cost for the procedures necessary exceeds my income (I live on a fixed income in a state with a high cost of living).

I humbly reach out to all of you, in hopes that my plea for assistance gets heard. I have had a friend establish this GoFundMe campaign, to help me, restore my health, and my smile and raise funds for the cost of these procedures, which include extractions, dentures, partials, and other necessary care. The cost is an estimated $10,416. Every single dollar of this campaign will go toward my goal of improving my oral health. Your help is greatly appreciated and means more to me than words can’t express. Any donation of any size is greatly appreciated. Your contribution will tremendously help with my situation and impact my life greatly as I try to live a more pain-free life.
