Glennis Foster’s recovery and family support
Donation protected
We are fundraising to help the Foster family in this time of need. The fund would help out with a hotel near the hospital so the family can finally get some rest, drivings costs, food costs and any medical costs that may arise. Bruce and Courtney have been posting updates on their facebooks but this is the post Bruce wrote up.
“For all my FaceBook friends who may know or may not know, my best friend and wife experienced a massive PE, or blood clot yesterday morning which resulted in a cardiac arrest. I was able to perform CPR on her until emergency services arrived and took over. She was stabilized and taken to our local hospital. She had a couple more cardiac arrests so it took a while before they were able to transfer her to Royal Columbian Hospital which is the best hospital she could be at. On the way to RCH so between the first incident to last night she ended up having 5 arrests.
We have had a couple of scares through the night but she is stable…not out of the woods by any means…but we were actually able to go grab some dinner tonight which is a huge leap as we were told to not leave the waiting room all day. Our family has great support by great friends to which we are great full. It’s been one heck of a roller coaster ride and I’m totally exhausted.
She my best friend and the love of my life and my heart is broken now, but tonight we have hope. I will try and provide updates as we have more information. the Dr said it’s a marathon not a race….as long as I still have my soulmate I don’t mind running a marathon.”
As of right now she is still on life support but she is stable. Anything helps no matter what, Please keep sending your prayers
