Glenn’s Path of Hope with Pancreatic Cancer

My name Is Brittany Ruggles, and I am a sister to Glenn Lowe III, Chance Lowe (Bo) and Cameron Ewing. All four of us are honored to call Glenn Lowe Jr., our father. If you have had the pleasure of meeting my Dad, you’re likely to reminisce with a smile and be proud to call him your friend. You can probably recall a witty joke Glenn has told, maybe simple, maybe political. Or, if you’re really lucky, one of his long-winded, “have you at the end”, kind of jokes. He’s the kind of guy that makes everyone feel loved and seen.
In the recent weeks we have learned that Glenn is facing a big battle. After months and months of trying to figure out why he hasn’t been feeling well, he has been diagnosed with stage-four Pancreatic Cancer. We are determined to help him every step of the way, and leave no stone unturned, while remaining hopeful during this journey.
And hope we have found; Glenn started his first round of chemotherapy last week, and once the first round is finished, he will be going to a world-renowned cancer center called Hope4Cancer, where he will continue treatment. This treatment will focus on fighting cancer cells and strengthening his immune system, without killing the good cells. The point of doing the first round of chemo is to shrink the areas of cancer, in order to provide some relief for the nerves and bones it is affecting.
The Hope4Cancer believes there is no singular treatment that a patient should undergo. True healing is multi-faceted and requires a thorough program in order to address the numerous layers of cancer.
Hope4Cancer’s comprehensive healing program includes a balance of integrative and alternative therapy for each individual cancer patient. All treatments available at Hope4Cancer are safe, effective, and backed by science.
My siblings and I are putting this together for our Dad, in order to help with the finances of the cancer clinic. He will be there for three weeks after his chemo treatments are done and will then return home to continue a three-month treatment plan. This clinic is located outside of the United States, and therefore will not be covered by insurance.
After weeks of research, virtual appointments, reading testimonials and considering the doctor’s recommendations, we are determined to give Glenn more hope with his diagnosis.
.
One thing we know for sure is that if we sit back and stick to just chemo, he is only gaining a little bit of time. Our expectations are that he will begin his time at the Hope4Cancer treatment center in January, after the first round of chemo is over.
My dad is a proud, humble man, and doesn’t ever ask for help. We know there are so many people that love him like we do and would want to help him with his journey; help him gain time, hope and health. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
