Glenys White Funeral & Journey Home
Donation protected
On December 25th the world lost a beautiful, generous, kind and loving person. Glenys White passed peacefully in her sleep. Glenys had struggled for over a year in and out of hospital and the last few months had taken a toll on her.
Even though she was in pain and tired, she always welcomed visitors and took selfies endlessy! She loved the company!
But that is no surprise to anyone that knows her. Glenys always had her door, and heart open to any, and everyone. She'd bake, make jams and jellies, and love to have you sit for tea (or a rum) with her. She welcomed everyone with open arms. Kids and grown ups alike would easily chat, joke and enjoy time spent. I have so many memories myself from childhood to adulthood with my Aunt. She had an impact on my life, as she did for so many.
In this very trying time, Tanya,Candi and Shaun are coping with the immense loss of their Mother and also covering expenses to give her the Funeral and celebration of life she deserved.
Glenys also wanted to go home, her one last wish.
The kids want to give their Mom that wish and send her back to Newfoundland.
Glenys did not have insurance to cover costs, or leave money to her family in the event of her passing. Many years of medical conditions, and several heart surguries would prevent her from ever being able to obtain it. I have set up the page to raise anything to support the immense funeral costs and her journey back to the island that never left her heart where she can rest peacefully.
Any and all donations, regardless of size, will be appreciated by the family. Anything over the $7000 funeral cost will be put toward getting her back to Newfoundland, where she wants to be.
thank you in advance.
