Global Movement for Childrens Voices to be Heard

We have taken the first step in a global movement for children's voices to be heard and their rights upheld. 15 countries with over 30 presenters have compiled and sent a presentation to the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child (CRC) Chair and The Office of the High Commissioner in Geneva. This presentation included experiences from survivors, parents and families. Research from academics and the working knowledge from experts and organisations working with children, young people and their families. Importantly in this presentation we have identified the solutions to many of these complex issues faced by children. Now is the time for ACTION.

Your support will assist to implement the holistic child focused framework to guide working with children, young people and their families into every early intervention setting. This framework will introduce trauma training, trauma tools and child safety officers into every setting working with children. I propose to remodel the policing/child protection investigation in alignment with the CRC. This will be done by creating a holistic child focused assessment incorporating allied health and psychotherapies in the assessment process. I will to introduce a panel of expert witnesses into every court case involving the wellbeing of a child/young person. Including the youth justice system.

The underpinning legislation for this framework is the Convention for the Rights of the Child. I am reaching out to ask for your help, to support our mission as a collective to create change for our future generations.
