Glock the Dog's emergency surgery

Dear friends and family,

On June 30th, Glock was hit by a car in Johannesburg, Michigan. We rushed him to the emergency vet and have been on an emotional roller coaster trying to understand our options and what's best for Glock. We sent the X-rays and doctor's notes to our primary veteranarian in Arizona who told us he was confident that Glock, and his leg can be saved, but it will be a long road to recovery. We are still out of state (in Michigan) for Sammy's best friends' weddings, so navigating the situation away from our primary veteranrian in Tucson, Arizona is a challenge.

Glock needs a femoral head and neck resection. Due to the holiday weekend, we have to wait for the vets to reopen. He is medicated and his pain is under control but we need your help.

Glock is a 7 1/2 year old blue heeler / kelpie mix with a lot of spunk and a goofy personality. He is more than a dog, he is a loyal companion, a big brother, a good boy, and our best friend. He is there for every challenge we face. Our sweet boy is always eager to please and is the first to comfort ANYONE in hard times. Words cannot express the heartbreak we’re feeling right now. Please help us save our furry friend.
