Gloria, a sweet english bulldog, needs surgery

Hello, my name is Gloria and I'm an English Bulldog who needs your help. I was severely neglected my entire life. My previous owners used me as a breeder in a puppy mill where they had me caged, living in my own excrement, and uncared for until the day they abandoned me at a shelter. I developed multiple infections that were left untreated and progressed into more serious health conditions. I had lost most of my fur; my skin was covered in bloody pustules and smelled of years of urine and feces; my paws were too tender to walk and deformed from the infections; and my eyes are damaged and scarred from untreated entropion. In August 2022, I was rescued by a Roadogs foster and new dog mom, Dee, who is doing everything she can to get me healthy and show me a life filled with love. My skin has made significant progress over the past year and my fur has grown back on most of my body into a nice, shiny coat. I smell so much better now!

Unfortunately, my eyes have not improved. Opthamologists said I will be blind within the year without three different eye surgeries and medication. The surgeries and medication will prevent my vision from getting worse or losing my vision completely. Having the surgeries and using the medication may even reverse my eye conditions, but the surgeries and medication will cost approximately $6000. I know this is a lot to ask for and would appreciate a contribution of any amount. With my previous owners, I was never let out of a cage... and now my new mom takes me everywhere, but I can't see the beautiful life I'm being given. I love basking in the sunlight, but I wish I could watch the sun set.

The funds raised will go toward my eye surgeries, but anything over the amount will be donated to Roadogs, the rescue organization who saves dogs like me from terrible living conditions and in need of some TLC.
